Purpose of Education:

1. apply the theories, concept and knowledge that I have learned for 3 years in college

2. gain and understand global education particularly Indonesian context of education

3. reflect that practicum widens my role as a teacher in the elementary

Procedure:

a. coordinate with the cooperating school

b. established rapport with the cooperating teacher, learners and all stakeholders

c.conduct observation of classes d.schedule    demo teaching the cooperating teacher

e. submit lesson plan before demo teaching

f. preparation of sim

g. actual demo teaching

h. feed backing

Challenges:

a. language barrier

b. homesickness

c. loneliness

d.broken heartedness

e. culture

Overall Impression:

My experience is mixed of happiness and challenges. Happiness for I met a lot of people that help me to carry my mission. The place and community is very welcoming and I have learn a lot of Indonesian culture. Language barrier is one of.the top most challenge but after learning the language, immersing, being passionate and committed i was able to surpass it. My experience in general molded me to be highly proficient teacher someday.

Suggestion:

a. There should be a common language of understanding among SEA Student Teachers for it is difficult to learn the language for brief period time and used it as a medium of instruction.

b. Advance Placement description or background should be given to the pre-service teacher before the deployment .

c. . ASEAN integration in the curriculum for TEI who are offering the program .
