Situated in  JL. Soekarno Hatta, No. 2 Rt. 001/01, Talise, Mantikulore, Kota Palu, Sulawesi Tengah 94118, Indonesia, SDN Model Terpadu Madani is one of the very good school which excels in education and in some extra curricular competitions in Palu. It is under the supervision of Ma'am Dian Candra Anggraeni, M. Ed., principal of this said institution.

As what I have observed, the school was following an integrated curriculum which was said to be a teacher-centered wherein learners even in the sixth grade were just bombarded by information and used to become active listeners only. Subjects such as Math and Science were combined and being taught at the same time; same with History and Physical Education.

The classes their usually begin at 7:15 AM and usually ends at 11:30 AM. Yes, you read it right. The classes their in elementary were just half a day unlike with the classes that we had their in the Philippines which usually starts at 7:00 AM and lasts at 4:30 PM. The teachers also there usually preapare a daily lesson plan and sometimes used LCD projectors and laptop during class discussion. They are using white board and white board markers also instead of chalkboard and chalk.

And honestly to say, it was so hard for me to get some more information about the school because of the language barrier that we had encountered there. It is because only 2-3 teachers there could speak and understand English while the others cannot. We were just using google translate in communicating them.
